Today, we released new downloadable content for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma that pairs it with our fan-favorite STORY OF SEASONS series. This free content introduces livestock from Grand Bazaar into the world of Azuma, including the beloved cow, chicken, alpaca, and sheep, along with some new recipes for decorations and buildings.
Once you download it though, you may be wondering, “How do I get these wonderful animals into my village?” We’ve got you.
To start, you’ll have to at least have completed the “Guardian’s Grove Lumber Hunt” quest. Once that’s complete, you’ll get a special request, “A Strange Cow,” on the Ema Request Board back in the village.
Once you accept this quest, the “STORY OF SEASONS Bundle” tutorial will begin. Complete this first request, and you’ll be able to welcome the animals from Zephyr Town to your village and get some special rewards!
You’ll notice as you unlock more of the DLC content, there are two types of requests: one to welcome animals to your village, and one for recipes for buildings and decorations. How these unlock will depend on your progress through the story of Guardians of Azuma and other completed requests. So make note that everything may not be available to you right away, but you’ll earn it all eventually by playing through the main game and restoring Azuma.
The following requirements must be met to receive the requests for welcoming new animals to your village.
“A Strange Cow”
Complete the “Guardian’s Grove Lumber Hunt” quest, and accept the request from the Ema Request Board. After completing “A Strange Cow,” a new Ema Request for “Raising the Cow” will appear.
“A Strange Chicken”
Complete the “Raising the Cow” request, and complete the “Restore the Summer Village #2” story quest, and this will appear on your Ema Request Board. Once you complete “A Strange Chicken,” you will gain access to the “Raising the Chicken” request.
“A Strange Sheep”
Complete the “Raising the Chicken” request, and complete the “Gathering Mikoshi Materials #1” story quest, and this will appear on your Ema Request Board. Once you complete “A Strange Sheep,” you’ll get a new request for “Raising the Sheep.”
“A Strange Alpaca”
Complete the “Raising the Sheep” request, along with completing the “Restore the Winter Village #2” story quest, and this will appear on your Ema Request Board. Once you complete “A Strange Alpaca,” you’ll get a new request for “Raising the Alpaca.”
Once you’ve gotten all the animals, and unlocked some of those unique, new recipes, you can set up buildings and decorations in your village to make them feel even more at home in these far away lands.
