XSEED Games Shares Opening Cinematic For Coming-of-Age RPG Loop8: Summer of Gods, Launching June 6 on PC and Consoles in North America
XSEED Games today released a brand-new cinematic trailer for their upcoming narrative-driven, time-traveling RPG, Loop8: Summer of Gods. The trailer serves as the opening cinematic for the game and gives players a look at some of the many characters to befriend, locales to explore, and enemies to face throughout their journey. The cinematic also showcases the game’s stunning art style, with its detailed, watercolor-inspired scenery and anime-influenced character designs over a musical backdrop provided by the original song “Genfunkei” sung by NaHo/QiSui, which sets the poignant tone.
A coming-of-age RPG, Loop8: Summer of Gods follows protagonist Nini and his classmates as they try to defeat the Kegai, demonic entities who have forced humanity to the brink of extinction. Raised on a failed space station known as “Hope,” Nini returns to Earth to spend his summer in Ashihara, one of humanity’s last remaining sanctuaries. Gifted with “Demon Sight,” Nini can use his special connection to the gods to reset the world, with each loop allowing him and his allies to relive the 8th month over and over until they get it right…or the Kegai overwhelm them entirely.
Developed by SIEG Games and Marvelous Inc. and published by XSEED Games, Loop8: Summer of Gods will release on June 6, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch™ system, PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam. The title will be available digitally in both standard and deluxe editions on PC, priced at $49.99 and $59.99 respectively. Physical versions will also be available for consoles at launch, with a standard edition available for a MSRP of $49.99 and a limited Celestial Edition available through the XSEED Game Store and participating retailers for $69.99. The game will be released on console platforms by publisher Marvelous Europe in Europe. The title has been rated “T for Teen” by the ESRB.
